Me. This is all my fault.
This! The VAXbb project. Well, "project" is kind of overly grand. Let's go with "program." VAXbb is a fast, text-only bulletin board for use on the Web. It's written in PERL, and runs on UNIX boxen (though an NT port should be possible, just not a high priority right now). Its functionality and use is based loosely on a VAX-terminal-based bb system that I used in school.

There are a few reasons. One is that I wanted to learn PERL. Another is that I wanted to get some of my old VAXveterate buddies back together. But the main reason is that I wanted a bulletin board, and could not find one that was free, uncomplicated, easily installed, and appealing to me. So I decided to write one myself.
I already told you, it's written in PERL. VAXbb is available under the terms of the GNU Public License.
